Ella graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First-Class degree in Theology, Religion, and Philosophy of Religion, earning starred firsts in multiple modules, including her dissertation on Toni Morrison’s theological novels. Her academic interests span philosophy of religion (Christian, Hindu, and Buddhist), literary analysis, and the sociology, anthropology, and politics of modern religion. With teaching experience in private tuition, mainstream schools, and SEN settings, Ella tailors each session to suit her students’ individual learning styles. Having navigated her own academic journey with dyslexia and ADHD, she is especially passionate about building confidence, motivation, and academic independence, particularly for students with learning differences. Ella tutors a wide range of subjects and levels. She teaches Primary and 11+ Maths and English with a nurturing, SEN-informed approach, and supports GCSE and A-Level students in English Literature, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Politics, Drama, and the EPQ, with deep familiarity with AQA, OCR, and Pearson exam boards. She also offers targeted Oxbridge and university application support, including personal statements, mock interviews, and subject-specific mentoring. At undergraduate level, Ella provides essay and dissertation coaching in literature, theology, philosophy, and the social sciences of religion. A former student of Godolphin and Latymer, where she achieved 4 A*s at A-Level, Ella also completed a foundation year at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Outside tutoring, she is a keen actress and lover of literature, performance, and inclusive education.
