Anthony

Anthony has been tutoring for Superior Learning for 4 years. In that time he has garnered extensive teaching experience at all levels in Maths and English up to Year 9. He is especially adept at guiding kids through the 7+, 8+, 11+ and Common Entrance exams. Anthony graduated with a degree in English Literature at the University of York achieving a 2:1, and later achieved a Masters Degree from the Royal Academy of Music.

Originally from South Africa, Alex graduated with 1st class honours in Biochemistry from the University of Leeds. He is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Cambridge, where he is looking to develop novel vaccines to combat cancer. Alex has over 4 years of tutoring experience, with a particular focus on Maths and Chemistry, from pre-GCSE up to A-level. Outside the classroom, Alex is a strong cricketer having represented the University of Leeds, the MCC, and Middlesex CCC.

Alice

Alice specialises in teaching English and Maths to students sitting 7+, 11+ and 13+ entrance exams and has considerable experience helping students gain entry into many different schools in London. Prior to this, Alice studied at Central School of Ballet, obtaining a First Class BA(Hons) degree in Professional Dance and Performance and A Levels in English Literature and French. She achieved all A*s in her subjects at GCSE. Alongside her career as a professional dancer, Alice has taught ballet to children of all ages (2-18 years) and understands the importance of meeting a student’s individual needs on any given day. She is a qualified Feldenkrais Practitioner (a somatic practice which calms the nervous system for optimal learning) which she has found invaluable for learning and teaching new skills. When not teaching, Alice enjoys reading, walking on the Heath, spending time with friends and working on her first collection of lyric essays.

Adriaan

Adriaan is a 5th year medical student at the University of Cambridge with a 1st Class Honours in Medical Sciences. He attained 10 As in his GCSEs and 4 As in A Level Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. He tutors Maths and Physics GCSEs, as well as Chemistry and Biology GCSEs and A levels, and has several years’ experience supporting GCSE and A Level students in the Sciences. Adriaan can offer admissions advice, interview preparation and personal statement guidance for medical school applications, particularly for London and Oxbridge applications, and can UKAT tutoring. Adriaan aims to motivate students by fostering a keen interest in the subjects tutored, providing a flexible and customisable approach that integrates the GCSE/A Level syllabus with medical teaching. Outside of academics, Adriaan is a keen rower and enjoys playing the guitar (poorly).

For the past five years she has been a professional tutor, consistently tutoring alongside completing her BA in Spanish and French and then her MSc in African Studies at Oxford University. Andreea

Andreea grew up in Moldova and attended school in the UK for her A-levels, achieving top grades in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics. She currently studies Mathematics with Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE). She has excelled in mathematics and is able to teach abstract concepts as well as practical proficiency. Andreea is able to teach maths to all levels. On top of this Andreea is a keen pianist and loves going to the theatre!

Ali is a versatile teacher with 6+ years’ experience teaching Mathematics. He’s just completed his Master’s degree in Project Management and is now working as a secondary mathematics teacher at a school in London. Ali scored A*, A, A in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics respectively his A level exams. He is a very passionate teacher who uses interdisciplinary learning techniques as part of his teaching pedagogy. He also does part time freelance theatre work and uses that in his lessons, often employing gamification to make tutoring an engaging, interactive and fun experience. Annelise is in her fourth year at Cambridge University studying Classics. When she is not studying you can find her training for the London Marathon or learning new recipes as an avid cook. Annelise has a true passion for education; she has worked as a tutor alongside her studies amassing over 200 hours of tuition, specialising in 11+ and Common Entrance preparation as well as Latin, Greek, English and Oxbridge preparation from KS1 to undergraduate level. Annelise has also worked at a school for 4 months in Guangzhou, China as well as at an orphanage in Sri Lanka; experiences where she found immense satisfaction in helping children develop their confidence in and enjoyment of learning. In her free time she teaches freelance and runs ‘Petite Performers Wimbledon.’ Drama school and working in theatre has shaped Becky into an excellent communicator. Cam is a graduate of SAE Audio Engineering school who loves everything to do with music and audio. Since graduating in 2021, Cam has been working in Solent University as a resource assistant helping students use cameras, microphones and other media equipment. Originally from Winchester, Cam moved back into London to get back into tutoring. In his spare time, he loves drums, guitar, bass, and singing and produces videos and music in his studio. He has experience in tutoring GCSE Physics and Maths and now wants to focus on teaching 11+. Cam is a strong believer in the power of fun as a teaching tool; the key to success is to find as much enjoyment in what you do as you can.

Caitlin

Caitlin is currently in her second year of a physics degree at Durham University after achieving A-Levels in maths, further maths, chemistry and physics and has previous experience tutoring these subjects. Although her studies are in the sciences, Caitlin has enjoyed tutoring a much wider range of subjects at GCSE, including both English Literature and English Language after achieving all grade 9’s at this level. Her experience also includes coaching competitive gymnastics and running multi-sports camps. Caitlin has worked with children with a wide variety of ages, abilities and needs and prides herself in being able to adapt her sessions to make them engaging for everyone. Chisi

Chisi is currently in her third year reading Geography at the university of Oxford. She has achieved 3 A* at A-Level Geography, Sociology and Politics. As well as achieving 3 9’s, 5 8’s and 2 7’s at GCSE. Chisi’s passions lie in studying as well as teaching Geography, with a history of mentoring geography with the Royal Geographical society. Outside of academics Chisi spends her time reading fiction novels, watching films as well as perfecting her skills in professionally styling hair.

Claire Oxley is a progression specialist. This means that she helps school and college pupils move from one important stage to another, most notably to university. She holds degrees from the universities of Lancaster and Oxford, has been a head of sixth form; over the past few years, Claire has worked with companies providing innovative training for staff and employee bodies, has been at the forefront of helping students from very varied backgrounds gain places at competitive universities, and has realised her own creativity in the form of studio painting practice. She also teaches Critical Thinking, and gives practice interviews for competitive university places, including medicine, the Arts, and Oxbridge.

Chloe

Connie has a BA in English Literature and an MA in Modern and Contemporary Literature, Culture and Thought from the University of Sussex, achieving first-class honours in both. She then went on to achieve a distinction in a Fine Art MA at City and Guilds of London Art School. Connie studied at Latymer Upper School and graduated in 2012 with 3 A*s and a B in English, Philosophy and Ethics, Art and History of Art respectively. Conor

Since graduating from Durham University with a BA in English Literature and Philosophy in 2017, Conor has been tutoring English across all age groups. He worked in the charity and film sectors immediately after university, before training and qualifying as a teacher. He currently works as a teacher of English, specialising in GCSE and A level Literature and Language, and is joint-head of department. His passion for the literary arts (and sports!) shine through in his sessions, which are always engaging and fun, as well as rigorous and productive. In his spare time, he is a keen cyclist, hill walker and rock-climber.

Daniel is currently undertaking postgraduate research at the University of Cambridge after achieving first-class honours in his undergraduate in Geography. Prior to this, he was the Head Boy of his local secondary school, where he studied A Levels in Geography, Biology, Chemistry and Maths and achieved 10 A*s at GCSE. Daniel has extensive experience in Oxbridge application coaching, working alongside a team at Cambridge University to conduct mock interviews and assist with personal statement writing. Hana is currently a third year medical student at the University of Cambridge. She achieved AAA in biology, chemistry and maths at A-level, and 11 A*’s at GCSE. She has worked with KS3, GCSE and A-level students and she is best suited to teaching Maths and Science at these levels, as well as providing support for medicine applications and entrance exams (UCAT and BMAT). Outside of her studies she is a keen pianist and enjoys running, as well as travelling with friends.

Noah graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. He achieved three As in Maths, History, and Economics at A Level as well as eight As and three As at GCSE. He has extensive experience tutoring GCSE and A Level Economics, as well as GCSE Maths, History and Politics. Outside of academics, Noah enjoys playing football, reading and writing. Obada is a 4^th year medical student at King’s College London. He has a wealth of experience teaching A-level Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology, as well as a wide range of GCSE subjects. Originally born in France and therefore fluent in French, Preven completed his 11+ exams for both grammar and private schools and attended City of London School for Boys with a full academic scholarship. Since then, he has helped out children with their 11+ exams. In addition, he has had experience working with a charity and a primary school, helping support children struggling with any subjects. Tom

Tom has recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Natural Sciences (First Class Honours, 3rd in Materials Science). He topped his year for Further Maths at A level and also achieved As in Maths, Chemistry and Physics. At GCSE level, he attained 11 As and is passionate about teaching maths and sciences to younger students having previously run maths lessons at a primary school. Aside from academia, Tom enjoys playing football, cricket and tennis.

Theo is a physics graduate from the University of Warwick who teaches maths to GCSE, A Level, and beyond. As well as guiding his students to success in their exams, he believes in helping them enjoy the beauty of mathematics. By day he works as a software engineer with an interest in web apps, decentralised applications, and blockchains. In his spare time he plays drum kit, does sound and lights for his local theatre group, and performs with an improvised comedy troupe.

Since graduating in 2016 with a degree in Music, Tom has had extensive experience working with children of all ages in both academic and extra-curricular settings. He achieved 5As and 7 A*s (including English, Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics) at GCSE and went on to study the International Baccalaureate (English, Maths, Chemistry, History, Spanish and Theatre Studies). His experience working as a tutor and teacher has made Tom really great at communicating with children, instilling confidence, encouraging them to engage fully and get excited about learning. He has worked as a music and drama tutor for arts organisations (Theatre Bugs, Montage Theatre Arts) as well as a Learning Support Assistant for the City of Westminster College and also has experience tutoring children one-to-one for LAMDA exams. He has also run a children’s entertainment company for 5 years.

Tristan

Tristan has recently completed a foundation acting degree from RADA, and is attending Durham university in September to study English Literature after achieving 100% at A Level. He attended Eton College where he earned all A*s at GCSE (8 9’s, 2 8’s). He enjoys teaching English and Latin up to A level and Maths and Classics at GCSE. Outside of academics, Tristan is a keen actor, enjoys most sports, (especially football and tennis), plays the guitar, and prides himself on his scrambled egg technique.

Throughout his tenure as an A Level Computer Science educator at an international school, he has adeptly imparted knowledge spanning IGCSE, A Level, and IB curricula, encompassing computer science, ICT, and ITGS disciplines. Outside the classroom, Turgay steered and orchestrated a triumphant international computer project competition, instilling a passion for technology in burgeoning minds. Off-duty, he relishes his role as a doting father of two, while discovering a newfound ardour for horticulture.

Warren

Warren is a 4th year medical student at the University of Oxford and has completed a BA with a focus on applied physiology. He achieved 10 As at GSCE and 3 As at A-level and has extensive experience tutoring GCSE and A-level Sciences and Maths. Warren has coached students through the whole medical admissions process including admissions tests, having scored in the top 3% in the UCAT and has seen students receive offers from top UK medical schools. In the past he has worked across several London schools as part of the National Tutoring Programme and continues to volunteer as a tutor at Bright Futures UK, supporting children and young people whose education have been affected by illness. Outside of tutoring Yann is an experienced teacher, holding the position of training officer at a mental health charity, volunteering as a medical and working with access programmes to teach in local schools.
