Our tutors come from a wide range of academic backgrounds. We work hard to look for tutors with not only extensive expertise but also a warm and approachable demeanour. For us, the relationship is as important as the subject knowledge and facilitates effective, superior learning.

Emma

Emma is currently studying Medicine at Kings College London, having graduated from UCL with an MSc in Cardiovascular Science (Distinction) and a BSc in Biomedical Sciences (1st Class (Hons)). She loves to teach Maths and Science and has been tutoring a wide range of pupils for almost five years. In her spare time, she loves being active and this year is cycling from London to Paris for charity.

Jacob

Jacob is a University of Manchester graduate who specialises in English tuition for students from 11+ to A Level with nearly five years experience, encompassing comprehension questions, exam technique and creative writing. In his spare time, he makes music, freelances and plays highly competitive Jenga.

Astrid

Astrid is currently studying medicine, having finished a Biomedical Science BSc, both at King’s College London. She greatly enjoys teaching Maths, Science, and English and has been working with a wide range of children during her time at university. In her spare time she is a keen hockey player for her university hockey team.

Anthony

Anthony has been tutoring for Superior Learning for 4 years. In that time he has garnered extensive teaching experience at all levels in Maths and English up to Year 9. He is especially adept at guiding kids through the 7+, 8+, 11+ and Common Entrance exams. Anthony graduated with a degree in English Literature at the University of York achieving a 2:1, and later achieved a Masters Degree from the Royal Academy of Music.

Serge

Serge graduated with a degree in Philosophy from UCL, having previously excelled in Maths and Science. He has acquired a wealth of experience teaching Maths, English, Physics and Philosophy to a wide range of students ranging from 11+ up to A-level. His expertise include helping students work towards entrance exams and GCSEs. His spare time is enjoyed listening and playing to music, and reading and writing short-stories.

She is currently a Year 6 teacher in Central London and has experience tutoring for 11+ exams and SATS. Photini is suited to teaching English to all levels and Maths to GCSE level.

Hana

In a previous life, Seb toured all over Europe, playing in his band, whilst having his music aired on national radio stations and television. Having changed career, Seb graduated with a History degree and now has a number of years within education. He loves his decision to become a teacher, thoroughly enjoying guiding youngsters to meet their full potential across all subjects.

Originally from Wiltshire, Yasemin has been tutoring a wide range of ages for over three years including Key stage 2, 11+, 13+ and GCSE. Outside of tutoring, Yasemin spends her time in the studio focusing on creative projects in publishing, fashion and design.

Rivani

Owen

Alex

He ran his own tutoring agency in Sydney for several years, with a focus on tutoring International Baccalaureate, A Level and local syllabuses. He currently works on a range of projects for film, television, musical theatre and the concert hall.

Nia

Liliana

She is a native Mandarin speaker from Beijing and she is also an experienced tutor with over 200 hours tutoring provided to students ranging from Year 5 to 13 (A-level). She enjoys not only teaching Mandarin, but also inspiring students with Chinese history, art and culture. Outside tutoring, she is an engineer working in transport industry in London, a dog lover, an origami enthusiast and a passionate cyclist.

Currently she is taking time at home to raise her two children, she is suited to teaching English to all levels and other subjects to primary or 11+.

Since then, he has set up a successful tuition service in Madrid and has worked for leading global tech companies. He has extensive tutoring experience with Maths and English, up to GCSE and 11+ respectively. He also teaches Spanish and French to any level. In his spare time, Jamie dabbles in playing the guitar and volunteers as an English teacher at a charity specialising in social and labour market integration for migrants and refugees.

Miranda has worked in Nursery/Primary Education for the last 35 years. She is a qualified Learning Support teacher (OCR level 5) and has had extensive experience working with dyslexic and dyspraxic children.  For the last ten years she has worked at a leading independent prep school in Oxford teaching children on a one-to-one basis and supporting them in the classroom. Miranda has recently moved to London and looking to further her career as our SEN tutor at Superior Learning.

Ashleigh

She also has experience working with children who have learning difficulties. She is a warm, creative and open-minded teacher with a vibrant teaching style, and places great emphasis on building meaningful relationships with students in order to help them develop academically and personally. Ashleigh is a skilled Drama teacher with many creative hobbies including illustration and design.

Obada

Some of his passions outside of medicine include sports such as swimming and marital arts, as well as being involved in a start-up mobile app business. He is also involved in research projects related to medical/health tech innovations in the aims of revolutionising healthcare.

She specialises in English literacy, delivering a play based curriculum.

Gopal

Gopal grew up in India and Japan and attended an International Baccalaureate school in Tokyo, becoming fluent in English, Hindi, and Japanese. He has an excellent academic record, achieving 44/45 in his IB Diploma, achieving top grades in Mathematics, Economics, and Physics at a higher level, and English, Japanese, and Business at standard level. He currently studies Management at the London School of Economics (LSE). Gopal has previously tutored Mathematics and can also teach abstract and practical concepts in Physics and Economics as well up to pre-university level. In his spare time, Gopal is a keen chess and badminton player and plays guitar poorly.

Stela

Robbie is a keen musician who loves singing in the choir and he is also half Spanish!

Aurore

With a Bsc Hons degree in Biological Sciences and having completed a Chemistry Enhancement Course before his PGCE, David has a wealth of experience to add to a keen interest in Ecology and Natural Sciences which has seen him undertake voluntary work with the Wildlife Trust and Operation Walacea. Passionate about learning, Xenia  loves working with young people helping them to build up confidence and progress in their learning. She is best suited to teaching English at all levels and has experience with teaching and tutoring from KS3 to KS5. When not teaching or studying, Xenia enjoys exercising, reading and cooking.  

Rish

Rish graduated from University College London with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics and teaches Maths to students from aged 7 to 18 years old in both one to one and group settings. He has extensive experience in helping children achieve their potential through simple yet productive methods, primarily focusing on 7+, 11+ and GCSE examinations. He works closely with the parents or guardians of the student to create accessible and efficient plans of action, giving the student the greatest opportunity to succeed. Aside from tuition, his passions lie in sports, including Football and Mountaineering, as well as volunteering for organisations aiming to improve Educational opportunities in rural Africa.

Lizzie

Lizzie is a Year 6 teacher in an inner London primary school. She has 13 years of teaching experience and has a particular passion for maths. She is a middle leader in her current school and a maths lead practitioner, delivering training to colleagues. She is currently training to be a maths mastery specialist with the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics. With several years’ experience in Year 6, Lizzie has a very good understanding of prepping for examinations, particularly in maths, reading and SPaG, but is passionate about developing life-long learners, with deep conceptual understanding of what they learn, and above all, ensuring that children are enjoying what they learn. Lizzie takes pride in the relationships that she builds with her pupils and is an incredibly personable, supportive teacher.

Hannah

Since graduating from The University of Bristol in 2018, Hannah has been a journalist, play-worker and learning support assistant. She is currently undertaking a PGCE in Secondary English teaching at UCL, alongside studying for a TEFL and online teaching certificate. Whilst at university she volunteered as a tutor and mentor for EAL students and worked with an educational enrichment charity for disadvantaged children. Hannah has experience in teaching, tutoring SEN learners within school and mentoring. She also tutors her dyslexic brother.

Sacha

Sacha has a place at Oxford University to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics, starting in October 2020. Before this he was an academic scholar at Eton where he achieved 11A*s at GCSE and 4A*s at A level (Maths, Economics, Geography and History). He has had extensive experience as a tutor over the past year, having taught more than 100 hours of lessons. He specialises in 11+, 13+ and Maths at GCSE and A level. Sacha is also an avid cellist; he has a performance diploma in the instrument and teaches. 

Conor

Since graduating from Durham University with a BA in English Literature and Philosophy in 2017, Conor has been tutoring English across all age groups alongside full time work in the charity and film sectors. He currently works as a script editor and developer for a London based production company. In his spare time he is a keen cyclist, hill walker and writer of plays. 

Roly

Roly is studying Spanish and Italian at Cambridge university, with a particular emphasis on literature. He also has an A-Level in English Literature and studied Maths to an AS-Level standard. With eleven A*s at GCSE, Roly is happy to adapt and teach a variety of subjects, with a focus on English and Maths, as well as Spanish and Italian. Outside of tutoring, Roly is a keen singer and plays the piano, as well as reading whenever he has the time. 

Josh

Josh is currently training to be an English Secondary School teacher with the Institute of Education (PGCE). Alongside having tutored English (KS2, KS3, GCSE and A Level), Maths (KS2) and English as a Foreign Language (Adult, A2-B2 CEFR), Josh has a BA degree in English and Related Literature from the University of York and is a CELTA trained English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teacher- he has taught in Italy and Greece for a year each to students aged 2-75 to a range of levels. He has also spent a year as a teaching assistant in an SEN school.  In his spare time Josh enjoys theatre, yoga and dance! He believes that tutoring should be about making learning accessible and engaging for all.

Emily

Emily is a primary school teacher with 10 years teaching experience and a degree in English from Bristol University.   She specialises in helping children prepare for assessments at 7+ and 11+, but enjoys teaching across the primary age range in all subjects. She particularly loves teaching writing, and has lots of experience helping reluctant readers and writers! In her spare time, she enjoys walking and cycling and has recently taken up pottery.

Jessica

She has 13 years of experience teaching elementary, intermediate and secondary levels but her area of interest is teaching secondary creative and formal writing and English literatures. In her day to day teaching, Jessica focuses on making connections with students, meeting their needs and engaging them to create the best opportunities for academic growth. Outside of teaching, she is a mother of two and enjoys running, painting and cooking.

Claire

Claire Oxley is a progression specialist. This means that she helps school and college pupils move from one important stage to another, most notably to university. She holds degrees from the universities of Lancaster and Oxford, has been a head of sixth form; over the past few years, Claire has worked with companies providing innovative training for staff and employee bodies, has been at the forefront of helping students from very varied backgrounds gain places at competitive universities, and has realised her own creativity in the form of studio painting practice. She also teaches Critical Thinking, and gives practice interviews for competitive university places, including medicine, the Arts, and Oxbridge.

Tabea

Tabea is a 3rd year medical student at Kings College London. She was born and raised in Germany but moved to the UK at the age of 13, and then left for Canada where she completed her Bachelor in Cell Biology. She is able to tutor mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry, as well as German and English. Having worked with young children has made her value the importance of building a good and trusting relationship with her students.

Emma

Emma was born in New York and has since lived in England, France, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia. She will be attending the University of Cambridge this coming October to study History of Art, but in the meantime is on a gap year and is keen to put both her tutoring and educational experience to good use. She graduated from school as a scholar, achieving 8A*s and an A at GCSE and 3A*s in her English Literature, Religious Studies (Philosophy and Ethics) and Fine Art A levels respectively. Aside from her studies, Emma is a keen artist and reader, and is currently working towards fluency in French.

She tutors History and English Lit/Lang up to A-Level as well as the Common Entrance Exam in English and Maths.

Mimi is currently in the second year of her MFA in creative writing at NYU, having graduated with a first in English Literature and American Studies from the University of Sussex. She has experience teaching English, but is also suited to teaching History, RE, Sociology and Media to all ages. She is also able to help students with entrance exam, GCSE and A-Level prep. In her spare time, she likes to read, write and eat noodles.

Sachin

Sachin recently completed an MEng degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London, and he is now studying for an MSc in Economics at the University of Warwick. He particularly enjoys working at the interface of different subjects, exploring how combined knowledge can be applied in unique ways. He achieved 3 A*s in his Scottish Advanced Highers in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, in addition to an A* in Higher English. In his spare time, Sachin enjoys playing a variety of sports including golf and cricket.
