Born in Thunder Bay, Canada, Matt Jarvis completed his teacher training in Cardiff and went on to teach in a wide range of state and independent schools in and around London for nearly 10 years. Motivated by wanting to be able to treat each pupil truly as an individual, Matt founded his tutoring company in 2013 and after 4 successful years expanded in 2017 with Superior Learning. Over the last 12 years, he has delivered over 25,000 hours of tuition to students preparing for 11+ and 13+ entrance exams, and has developed a comprehensive knowledge of the education sector and schooling system in London, on which he is able to offer much guidance. He is a proud dog owner, a qualified personal trainer and a keen skipper of his house boat on the Thames.

Head of Operations

Serge finds great enjoyment in working with children across all aspects of their development in order to inspire a thirst for learning and achievement. He has acquired a wealth of experience tutoring Maths, English, Physics and Philosophy for the last 6 years and has delivered over 5000 hours of lessons. At Superior Learning, he manages systems and shares his expertise with tutors. He graduated with a degree in Philosophy from UCL, having previously excelled in Maths and Science, and is now undertaking a Master’s in Computer Science. He enjoys taking his camper van to the mountains where he runs, cycles and swims.

Head of Client Services

Georgia has accrued a wealth of experience teaching children from different backgrounds after working as a tutor and disability support worker for the past 8 years. She has taught over 1000 hours of Maths and English to students preparing for 11+, 13+ and GCSE exams, having previously taught music theory, acting and singing while gaining a diploma in Musical theatre and working as a freelance actor. She now brings her expertise to Superior Learning, where she oversees client services and helps tutors deliver excellent tuition. She enjoys fitness, dance, reading and fostering the invaluable relationships built with friends, family and members of her London community.

Laura is a passionate educator with over 15 years’ teaching experience in leading London schools. As a fully qualified Specialist Dyslexia Teacher and Assessor, she is committed to helping every learner develop the skills and strategies needed to thrive at school and beyond. With a background in classroom teaching and leadership positions within schools, she brings creativity, expertise, experience and rigour to her practice. Laura believes in empowering every child to understand how they learn best and to celebrate the strengths that come with thinking differently. She now brings her expertise to Superior Learning providing full diagnostic dyslexia assessments, screeners, bespoke learning assessments, literacy and numeracy tuition and study skills coaching. Outside of work, Laura is a keen yogi and mum to 3 children.
